Red Storm Sunflower Microgreens Seeds. Helianthus annuus. 7-10 days harvest. Conventional. Non-GMO. Heirloom. Microgreens. Sunflower micro greens are our all-time favorite microgreen! They are large, substantial greens that are crunchy and have a pleasant nutty flavor. We love to use them as a base for any microgreens salad. They make an excellent snack and your kids will even try to sneak them! We recommend this as a staple of any crop or microgreens salad. Sunflower microgreens are very easy to grow, but only in soil. Growing sunflower greens is very difficult hydroponically and we don't recommend it until you have run a few trials. Soak seeds in cold water for 4 hours and plant directly. Spread evenly and tamp very gently to insure contact with the soil. Mist only as needed. Cover until germination. Prepare your growth mediums by moistening it. Spread seeds evenly across the surface and moisten with a spray bottle. Cover for 3 to 4 days until adequately germinated. Place under a grow light and watch grow. Water regularly. Begin tasting microgreens to mark the change in flavor as they mature, so you'll know when you like to harvest them. The great thing about lettuce microgreens is that you can let them grow to baby green stage, harvesting them anytime between. Avoid too much heat and humidity. About 200 Seeds / Oz.
